I had another Goodwill trip this morning, and found a great score! I found this glass trifle bowl for only $3.40. Ummm, yes, I think I will take that!
But what to do with it when I am not using it for food?
Decorate for Fall! A candle, bag of Green split peas, a bag of Black Beans, and a bag of Popping Corn.
After I layered the beans and popping corn, I realized I really needed some red. I love red, and decorate with it a lot. Red Beans would be perfect, but since I did not have any, I simply dyed some of the popping corn red, by putting it in a ziplock bag and rubbing red food coloring in it.
I had enough to fill 2 jars! I even had this Hurricane Vase that I bought for $.99 at Goodwill as well, and a candle from home!
Wouldn’t these be pretty in a Mason Jar for an outdoor wedding or shower?
I plan on putting a candle in the Candy Corn jar…but the one I had at home was too big around. *oops* Looks like I need to make a run to Dollar Tree to grab a votive!
Simple Living on a budget, and no one can tell, that is how I roll!
What do you use from around the house to decorate for season changes?
