I got this picture from Pinterest, however when I clicked through, it was an error. I tried several times. I would love to credit the original source, but I do not know it.
What mother/grandmother does not enjoy a nice handmade gift with pictures of the kids? Personally, I love giving gifts such as these. They are personal; you put time and thought into them, they are well received, and usually cheaper! I do not think that Mother’s Day is a time to break the piggy bank. I know as a mother, I would rather receive something small and thoughtful than knowing my kids spent too much money on silly gifts.
I am sure we all have snap shots of the kids. Ok, hands up if you are addicted to snapping pictures, and have more like 2 thousand pictures of the kids? Okay, now I don’t feel quite so bad.
For this project you will need:
- Snapshot pictures
- mod podge
- repurposed ( or new) flower pot
Simply put a layer of the mod podge on the back of your pictures and stick them to the pot. After you have them all on, then put a top coat of mod podge. For a nice touch, you can hot glue a color coordinating ribbon to the top.
Add a small plant, and some fresh top soil, and you got yourself the perfect handmade Mother’s Day gift.
