Southern Sweet Tea. Maybe its my southern roots, but it is a staple in our household.
Here is how I make a gallon of sweet tea:
Bring 2 – 3 cups of water to a boil
*you can add a pinch of baking soda as it softens the Tannins that give a bitter acidic taste*
Remove from heat, add in tea bags
-7 small sized bags OR
-3 Family Sized
Let sit for about 15 minutes in water.
Pour into a Gallon sized pitcher.
Stir in 1 – 1 1/2 cups Sugar
Fill with cold water (maybe some ice to chill it faster)
At many home and kitchen stores, they sale Tea Bag Tag holders, but you can simply use a fork to do the same trick!
